A 3-week-old, male Yorkshire piglet is brought to the clinic for evaluation. The piglet has not been as active as his littermates and is not gaining weight. Pale mucous membranes were noticed by the owner. The piglets in this litter had been given an intramuscular injection of iron during the first week of life.
