Abdominal and thoracic trauma, dog

Dog with abdominal and thoracic trauma from bite wounds; head is to the right. This patient required an emergency laparotomy to repair injuries to the diaphragm and body wall. The patient also required a splenectomy for a splenic laceration and intestinal resection and anastomosis because a portion of the intestines was avulsed from the mesenteric blood supply.
