Ethmoid hematoma, horse

Photograph of a right conchofrontal flap sinusotomy. For orientation, the horse has a large white star on its forehead, seen at the upper image behind the surgery site. The flap is hinging toward midline, and the right orbit is immediately lateral to the lateral border of the sinusotomy. In the lower left corner, an ethmoid hematoma is observed rostral to the ethmoid labyrinth, prior to surgical removal.
