Wet mount of spleen, goldfish
Gross pathology photograph of spleen from a necropsied goldfish. Large pale areas of necrosis (confirmed by histologic evaluation) can be easily seen. This is a common finding in goldfish with an active CyHV-2 infection. The anterior kidney usually has the same appearance.
