USDA Announces Steps to Create Vaccine Bank for Foreign Animal Diseases

Funding included in the latest farm bill enacted by the US Congress will allow USDA to establish a vaccine bank to help prepare responses to outbreaks of foreign animal diseases. This fall USDA will start the program by purchasing stocks of vaccine for foot-and-mouth disease.
