The Kansas Department of Agriculture has confirmed several horses are positive for vesicular stomatitis, making it the 4th US state to report the disease in 2020. Other states with reported cases this year are Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico. Both the Indiana and New Jersey serotypes of the virus have been identified, making this the first year that both have been present since 1998. So far this year, a total of 60 premises have been affected across the four states, 56 housing horses and four housing cattle.

More details on the current status of vesicular stomatitis in the US this year is available from USDA.
