Adult female ostrich (Struthio camelus molybdoophanes)
An adult, female blue-neck ostrich. The Somali blue-neck ostrich (Struthio camelus molybdoophanes) has blue-gray skin. In captivity, female ostriches lay an average of 20–40 eggs a year and reach sexual maturity in 4–5 years.
