Laminitis, typical posture, horse

The posture that this horse is displaying—weight shifted toward the hindlimbs, and both forelimbs in front of the body—is typical of laminitis. Decubital sores are also evident on the left hip, stifle, and gaskin, indicating prolonged recumbency.
