Clinical procedure photograph demonstrating oral drug administration using a microliter syringe in an amphibian. The patient's mouth can be gently opened with a piece of waterproof paper, guitar pick, or other thin material. Gloves (powder-free or rinsed with chlorine-free water) should be worn to protect the veterinarian and the patient.
