Salmon poisoning disease, kidney, fish

Necropsy image showing numerous metacercariae (refractile small, white dots) encysting in a fish kidney. The metacercariae were confirmed to be infected with Neorickettsia helminthoeca by culture of Neorickettsia from a dog that was fed pieces of this kidney.
