Novel Antimicrobial Proteins Found in Komodo Dragon Blood

Researchers at George Mason University used a new technique to isolate novel proteins with antibacterial properties from the blood of Komodo dragons. The proteins may help the lizards fight off a wide range of bacteria and potentially could become the source of new kinds of antibiotics.
