New Veterinary Graduates Face Licensing Delays

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the company that administers the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) has delayed or canceled scheduled spring test dates in multiple states. This has meant that new graduates of veterinary schools who didn't take the exam earlier in their final year may not be able to become licensed as soon as they planned. Some students report multiple changes in scheduled dates and others have made plans to travel to another state to take the test.

AVMA and SAVMA are working with the American Association of Veterinary State Boards to encourage state licensing authorities to help accomodate new graduates who are impacted by the testing delays.

More information on the delays in NAVLE testing can be read at AVMA.
