Aonchotheca bovis eggs

    Aonchotheca (formerly Capillaria) bovis eggs are similar to the eggs of Trichuris spp, except they are slightly smaller, are a lighter brown, and have less prominent bipolar plugs. In this photomicrograph, an Aonchotheca egg (arrowhead) is pictured next to a group of typical trichostrongyle eggs (arrow). Two coccidia (C) appear on the left, and some plant debris (P) is evident.
