Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, dog

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, dog

CPR being performed on a dog. Of note are the correct placement of the hands and arms during chest compressions and the equipment available for recording, monitoring, and communication. In a hospital, a trained team can perform additional procedures, such as intubation, IV catheter placement, and administration of medications and oxygen. In an out-of-hospital arrest, mouth-to-nose resuscitation may be performed.
