Image A depicts the normal eruption pattern of the left maxillary canine tooth, and image B depicts the eruption of the left mandibular canine tooth. A normal eruption of teeth would include the deciduous tooth exfoliating before the permanent successor begins its eruption. No two teeth trying to occupy the same space should be in the oral cavity at the same time.
