Trichuris eggs
Trichuris eggs

Trichuris eggs are lemon-shaped with distinct plugs at each pole, and they are darker brown than trichostrongyle eggs. In this photomicrograph a single Trichuris egg (arrowhead) is pictured among numerous trichostrongyle eggs (arrow), along with two out-of-focus coccidia (C) and a partially degraded trichostrongyle egg (D).
