Riemerella anatipestifer infection, neurological findings, broiler Pekin ducklings
Video demonstrating characteristic neurological signs in 4- to 5-week-old broiler Pekin ducklings with Riemerella anatipestifer infection. Notice lateral and dorsal recumbency of ducklings, leg paddling, and characteristic head circling and tremors (head shaking). Birds with these clinical signs are likely to die within 24 hours. Removal of dead and neurologically affected ducklings from the rest of the flock can decrease transmission when combined with appropriate drugs, cleaning, and biosecurity.
